Well it has been some time... the site has been down and the Cafe has been quite dormant, for now. I have just re-started the old website and I am planning a complete revamp sometime in the next month or so. We need to prepare for the next comeback :) A little background on where everyone is right now:

Chad is still playing with Tim Mahoney, while sitting in with pretty much every other band in town here and there. He has also released a fantastic solo album, check him out on his MySpace page and listen to some tracks (www.chadwhittaker.com).

Corey Rae is rocking it country style with a great band called Jug (www.jugfan.com) him and his gal recently had a beautfiul baby boy, so he has had his hands full for some time.

Pat is living it up Hawaii, and last I heard playing with some pretty good bands on their local scene.

Tony (That be me) is pulling the 9 to 5 as a Web Designer (www.zahlerdesigns.com). My wife and I are expecting our third child any day now! And I still try to rock out as often as possible... currently I play a few times a year with the band Hardwood 4, doing mainly covers.

Anyway, that about sums it up for everyone... as I said the site will get revamped and the cafe will remain alive. We have some potential releases coming in the near future, so we will be back!

We want to thank you all for all the support during the Basilica Block Party Competition.  Unfortunately we DID NOT win a slot at the Basilica last night.  We did however have a fantastic time playing at our old stomping grounds the Cabooze and we got an opportunity to hang out with some other great bands.  Congratulations to Holiday and Summit Avenue for winning the slots.  Good luck guys!!!

We want to thank Chris Dale once again for coming out and filling in on the drums for Tait... you did fantastic Chris! Awesome job!

WE WON!  That is right folks... Charlie's Cafe won the semi-finals last night at the Medina Ballroom!  And it is all thanks to you!  We appreciate all you folks who took time out on a Wednesday night to drive all the way out to the Medina to support us... we couldn't have done it without you.

The finals are coming up this Wednesday June 29th The Cabooze

Charlie's Cafe plays from 10-10:35pm and this time there will be judging and voting.  So make sure to vote and make a ruckus while your there and let the judges know you are a fan of the Cafe!

We will be playing with 3 other bands and 2 band will get to move on to play the Basilica Block Party. So once again we need to call on you all to show up and give us your love and support at our old stomping grounds The Cabooze.

We can't say thanks enough for your support and we look forward to seeing everyone at The Cabooze

So we decided even though our record isn't done... and we didn't have any songs that were mixed or well really finished for that matter... we would enter a contest on Cities97.  The winner would play at the Basilica Block Party!  Well we got chosen to play in the semi-finals...

Wednesday June 15th at the Medina Entertainment Center.

We play from 10:00pm to 10:55pm and we need as many folks there as we can muster.  3 bands play that night and the band with the most ballots will win a shot in the finals at the end of the month.  So come and see us play together for the first time in about 8 years!  Oh and don't forget once you get to the Medina Ballroom... fill out the ballot saying you vote for Charlie's Cafe.

Also be sure to watch our tour date calendar... we are actually starting to be active.

Well we took a break for a couple months due to Tony buying a new house and everyone's busy holiday schedules, but we have been back at the studio cranking out the music... the new CD is shaping up nicely.  Also, it looks like we will start playing some shows in July... so you may be able to see the old Cafe back in action sooner than later!  We are throwing a rough mix of one of the songs off our new upcoming album in our Discography section so if you'd like to hear a sample of our new music go download a copy.
