Tony started his professional career
in the music scene ten years ago as the lead singer of the music
group Charlie's Cafe which was signed to the independent label OarFin Records.
After a six year stint with the group, they
were a headlining act all across the Midwest. They were
nominated for a 1996 Minnesota Music Award for best Pop Album,
topped the college radio charts and had their music featured on
many TV programs on UPN, Lifetime, MTV, and CBS.
But like many groups out there, eventually the fire died out
within the group and they broke up in 1998.
Since then Tony helped build/design and open Angel Beach
Studios, Minneapolis. He also produced a song for the
charity "Stand With Me Foundation" which was used as the
new theme song for the "Boys and Girls Club of America".
He was also on the television program "60 minutes" while
in the studio working on that project. Other noteworthy
artists that worked on the project were Michael Bland and Sonny
Thompson (Prince), Debby Duncan and The Stud Brothers.
Now after a few years rest, he has
returned to the Minneapolis music scene back with the group of
musicians that really fit with his style...
Charlie's Cafe.
On a personal note... Tony likes chickens for some reason, oh and monkeys... but
who doesn't love monkeys I mean really... other than the feces
throwing thing they are pretty damn cool.
