Well about 9 years ago Charlie's Cafe was in need of a new bass player and Tony got a tip to go check out some guy playing in a cover band in some rinky dink bowling alley... it was Chad.  After hearing him rip out a couple tunes Chad was in the band.  Chad brought a whole new element to the Cafe and really brought that one missing piece that finished out the groups original sound.  His all around musicianship makes him... well dare I say it... a genius!  Ok so I am exaggerating a bit.  But he does play a bunch of instruments... so he isn't stupid at least.

Since Charlie's Cafe break up in 1998 Chad has been a very busy boy.  He formed the band Taboot which was a very popular Phish cover band.  He jobbed with pretty much every band in the Twin Cities and even got an offer to play with the Beach Boys for a short time.  Chad currently plays Bass for Tim Mahoney, Kung Fu Hippies and plays Keys for bands like Dazy Head Mazy and Red Dot Garage.

Chad is special and we like him that way.
